The PDBFINDER was originally conceived by GV while he was a post-doc in the famous group of/around Chris Sander at the EMBL in Heidelberg. Rob Hooft and Michael Scharf were the original authors. But many people of the Sander group contributed bits and pieces.
Elmar Krieger later extended the PDBFINDER to PDBFINDER2, and he was (and occasionally is a bit) responsible for the suite at the CMBI. Today (2007) Maarten Hekkelman and Robbie Joosten make sure the PDBFINDER remains available and up-to-date.
